Project VP Pupin – EPC BoP
Our company acted as the EPC BoP (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Balance of Plant) contractor for all electrical works within the Pupin Wind Farm project, including engineering design, equipment procurement, and construction.
Key Project Activities
1. Technical Coordination and Engineering Design
- Coordination of all electrical equipment in accordance with the investor’s requirements and the Transmission System Operator (TSO) regulations.
- Preparation of Detailed Design Documentation (IFC Design) for the 33/220 kV Substation, 220 kV Switching Station, and associated infrastructure.
- Development of technical solutions for the wind farm grid connection in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
2. Equipment Procurement and System Configuration
- Procurement and technical supervision of the delivery of compliant primary and secondary electrical equipment.
- Configuration of protection relays, control systems, metering systems, and auxiliary systems.
- Coordination between equipment manufacturers, the investor, and the Transmission System Operator.
3. Construction and Installation of Electrical Facilities
- Complete construction of the 33/220 kV Substation for the Pupin Wind Farm.
- Extension of one 220 kV bay within the existing 220 kV Switching Station.
- Installation of the complete medium-voltage cable network connecting the wind turbines.
- Installation and commissioning of fiber-optic communication cables for control, communication, and SCADA systems.
4. Commissioning and Grid Compliance Testing
- Testing and commissioning of primary and secondary equipment (SAT).
- Participation in Grid Compliance Tests in accordance with TSO requirements.
- Verification of wind farm stability, reliability, and operational safety under real grid conditions.
Project Results
- Successful completion of a wind farm with fully integrated electrical infrastructure, from wind turbines to the 220 kV transmission network.
- Full compliance with the requirements of both the TSO and the investor.
- Reliable, stable, and secure connection of the Pupin Wind Farm to the transmission system.
